Logan's Soccer Field Wall

When we moved to our new place in May, we asked Logan what color he wanted to have his room painted and he immediately said, "A soccer field!" So, Derek was up for the challenge to create a soccer field on one of his bedroom walls. We painted the other 3 walls a solid neutral color so that his whole room wasn't bright grass green. :)

Last week Derek started taping off the white lines for the field. Then, he spent this weekend painting Logan's much desired soccer field wall! It turned out REALLY GREAT!!!! We are still working on the finishing touches to the room, but I wanted to post pictures of the final product of the wall!

After we had hung letters for Elise's name on her wall, Logan decided he wanted letters of his name hung on his wall also. And soccer ball wall clings were added to the walls too! I love how it turned out!!!

And We Now Have a Crib!

Ok, so we FINALLY got a crib for Elise and put it together for her this week!!! She had been sleeping in the bassinet of her play yard for the first few months (pictured right) - or as it used to be called...pack and play. When I was little I think it was called a play pin. Why do they keep changing the name? Anyway...that's besides the point.

We had already gotten most of her other furniture for the room, bought her bedding, and had the walls painted BRIGHT pink (as you can see)...we LOVE it!!! What little girl wouldn't tell you they wanted a pink or purple room?? I had my room decorated in both of those colors at different times growing up - although the color was never as bright.

I think the white furniture goes well with the pink walls too! :-) Now the only piece of furniture left to buy is a rocking chair or glider for her room and then it is complete!

Logan Starts 2nd Grade!

Today was Logan's first day of second grade! Wow, he is growing up so quickly!!! He is going to Dublin schools this year and he is really excited! Derek and Kristen took him to his new school yesterday to meet his teacher and see his classroom. He picked out the desk he wanted to sit in and met a new friend named Marshall. He also went to check out the art room, music room, and library.
