Maternity Leave Begins!

I have now officially started my maternity leave from work.  Yay!!  It's so surreal to think that our little baby girl will be here very very soon...it could be tomorrow, you never know!  These 9 months have gone by so quickly!  We still have about a week left until my due date on April 29th though, and I am very fortunate to be able to have this extra time before the baby arrives.

My work allows maternity leave to begin two weeks before your due date, so I decided to begin my leave about a week and a half early.  This time off before the baby arrives has been much needed - working full time was getting to be very difficult these last few weeks.  My schedule was pretty busy and exhausting, and my ankles have been swelling three times their size from being on my feet.

We pretty much have everything ready for the baby's arrival for now.  The car seat is installed in the car, all the blankets and clothes have been washed, and we have plenty of diapers for at least the first week or two...we hope!  :)  She will start out sleeping in a bassinet in our room until we move into a bigger house.  We are planning to move in May, and then I will be able to set up and decorate the nursery!!!

Derek Playing Ice Hockey!

After playing two seasons of roller hockey, Derek decided to go back to playing ice hockey again.  He grew up playing ice hockey his whole life. He found a team to join that plays every Sunday night, so he joined this season.  His team's name is the Ice Hawks, he is number 34, and he has scored 2 goals this season so far.  Go Derek!!
Logan and I try to go watch most of his games, unless it is a late game since we have school and work the next morning.  Tonight we went to his game and took these pictures of our hockey hero!
