My work allows maternity leave to begin two weeks before your due date, so I decided to begin my leave about a week and a half early. This time off before the baby arrives has been much needed - working full time was getting to be very difficult these last few weeks. My schedule was pretty busy and exhausting, and my ankles have been swelling three times their size from being on my feet.
We pretty much have everything ready for the baby's arrival for now. The car seat is installed in the car, all the blankets and clothes have been washed, and we have plenty of diapers for at least the first week or two...we hope! :) She will start out sleeping in a bassinet in our room until we move into a bigger house. We are planning to move in May, and then I will be able to set up and decorate the nursery!!!

I cant wait to see pictures of the little girl! I hope you are enjoying all your down time and sleep. Take advantage of going out to dinner and going to the movies. Those times will quickly end. Totally worth it for sure!
Hi Mindy,
I'm so glad you can take some time off before Elise comes. Get lots of rest now...she probably won't sleep through the night right away. I can't wait to see her. It won't be long now!!!
Love ya, Mom S
