Indoor Pools are the Best!

Through our apartment we have a membership to an athletic club and we love going swimming at their pool!!  They have a great indoor pool with a diving board to use during the winter (and all year round too)!  And, during the summers they open up the outdoor pools, which are tons of fun too.  

Last year Logan learned to swim at a summer day camp there, and he is still swimming SO well!!!  Before taking the swim lessons he always used his floats, but now he can swim and jump off the diving board all by himself without any floats or help from Derek!  He's really doing well and loves to be in the water!  Here are a couple pics from our winter day at the pool!  :)

Welcome Avery Joy!

We are so happy to welcome our beautiful niece Avery Joy to the family!  Our family is really growing!  She was born on January 15, 2009!!  We went to Philly to meet her last week when she was a month old.  

She is SO adorable!!!

Chris and Wendy are the happy new parents of baby Avery!

Derek and I are holding our niece baby Avery - I am 30 weeks pregnant here with her baby girl cousin soon to be born in April (or I suppose May possibly)!

Logan really loves his new cousin!!!  He gave her lots of kisses and sang to her!  He will be such a great big brother soon!

Nanny and Papa are with two of their three grandchildren - and soon to be four!  Logan had so much fun visiting with Nanny and Papa!  He always loves spending time with them and going to the bouncy place with them!

It was a really great time visiting with Derek's family as always!  We wish we didn't live so far apart!  Can't wait to see them again soon!  Welcome to the family baby Avery!  We love you!!!

Glow Putt

We heard about this place called Glow Putt, so Derek and I decided it would be really fun to take Logan there!  It is an indoor glow-in-the-dark 18 hole mini golf course.  

We brought our nieces Madison and Paisleigh along with us too, and all the kids had a blast!!!

At every other hole, they had a tube (see pic below) to "recharge" your golf ball when it's glow starts to fade.  The lights in the tube help the ball glow again.

My brother Jon and his girlfriend Stephanie came with us too!  Stephanie was the only one in our group to win a prize on the 18th hole for putting her golf ball into the harder to reach green hole that glowed. 

It was definitely fun times for the whole family!!!!!!
